It's finally time – the Champions Hockey League is back!
Europe's biggest club ice hockey competition returns for 2026/27 with six action-packed games scheduled for opening day. Here's what to look forward to as we get our 12th season underway!
The new season of elite European club ice hockey will commence in two locations at once, with HC Pilsen taking on past CHL Champions Rögle Ängelholm at 17:30 CEST and at the very same time all the way in Finland, the mighty Tappara Tampere will line up against visitors Bílí Tygři Liberec.
18:00 CEST will see reigning Czech Extraliga champions Dynamo Pardubice open their new European campaign against Polish champions GKS Tychy.
Just 30 minutes later, another direct clash of national champions will commence as the Graz99ers face Fribourg-Gottéron in Austria for their game scheduled at 18:30 CEST.
The evening will end with a duo of games starting at 19:15 CEST, as experienced KAC Klagenfurt face CHL newcomers the Bordeaux Boxers and Red Bull Salzburg play host to Kölner Haie's big return to Europe's elite club ice hockey stage.
