After a few weeks of domestic league play, Pinguins Bremerhaven host Luleå Hockey in the fifth game for both teams in the 2025/26 Champions Hockey League Regular Season.

Luleå sit 7th in the Regular Season Standings with eight points, while Bremerhaven have four points and sit 19th, one point below the current Playoff cut-off line. That makes this game especially big for the Pinguins, who will want to improve their chances heading into their final game. For Luleå, meanwhile, a win most likely qualify them for the Playoffs.

Bremerhaven have been the higher-scoring of the two teams with 13 goals for and 15 goals against. Luleå have outscored their opponents 10-9.

Veteran Slovene Jan Urbas has led Bremerhaven’s offence with four goals, which leads the CHL, and six points, which is tied for third. Urbas’s 20 shots on goal also tie him for the lead. Defensive forward Andy Miele leads the team with nine blocked shots. As a team, the Pinguins have the CHL’s best faceoff percentage at 62.40%.

Luleå’s co-leaders in points are forward Mathias Bromé and defenceman Frédéric Allard with four points each – all assists. Jesper Sellgren is the team’s leader in ice time at 23:01 per game and in blocked shots with nine.

Coincidentally, these teams are tied for the CHL’s third-best powerplays at 23.53% each. Luleå is one of five teams that are perfect on the PK, having still not conceded a powerplay goal against.
