Ilves Tampere hosted Norway’s Storhamar Hamar on Game Day 4 of the Champions Hockey League. The Finns were aiming to preserve their perfect record, while the visitors were desperate to collect much-needed points.

The first period unfolded largely as expected, with Ilves dictating the tempo and allowing their opponents forward only on rare occasions. Their pressure paid off with the opening goal from Timi Teuho-Markkola, though the margin could easily have been wider.

The second period offered little drama. The pace slowed, and Ilves no longer dominated as clearly, but they still produced several chances. Storhamar goaltender Markus Røhnebæk Stensrud kept his team in the game with key saves to maintain the 1–0 scoreline heading into the final frame.

The third period brought Ilves back to life, and their renewed dominance produced two more goals to secure the points. At 48:43, Samuli Ratinen set up Otto Latvala in the right circle, and his shot flew over the Norwegian goalie’s glove. Just over a minute later, at 49:55, Teemu Engberg picked out Joonas Nättinen at the far post for a simple tap-in. That sealed a 3–0 victory, leaving Ilves as the only team with a perfect record this season on 12 points, while Storhamar remain on three.
