- Ingolstadt defenceman Alex Bretton netted two goals in the third period
- Jason Fuchs scored the lone goal for Lausanne
- Devin Williams kept Lausanne scoreless until the 57th minute
ERC Ingolstadt delivered statement win number two on the road, taking down Lausanne HC 3-1 at Vaudoise Aréna. Alex Breton was the star of the match, leading his team for time on ice (24:15), shots on goal (6) and netting both powerplay and shorthanded goals.
Period one unfolded with chances traded, but the homeside edged shots 8–6. Williams stood tall, denying Lausanne’s top threat Drake Caggiula. Lausanne’s Kevin Pasche faced heat after Ingolstadt earned two powerplays, and tensions flared leading to a major on Leon Hüttl and offsetting minors.
The shots on goal tipped in favour of Ingolstadt 16-12 during the second period. Forward Riley Sheen broke the deadlock at 24:52, burying a loose rebound in the slot after Abbott Girduckis’s redirect slipped through traffic. Powerplays came and went, but neither side could cash in — and the battle remained wide open.
Williams remained steadfast in the third, stonewalling the hosts' attempts, and it was a case of fourth time the charm for the Germans, who finally found their success on special teams. Breton let rip from the blue line, beating Pasche a second time to double the lead 2-1.
Jason Fuchs guided Lausanne back into the game with a perfectly timed wristshot, and the team traded out Pasche for a sixth field player, but it wasn't to be. Breton sunk goal number two of the night, an empty-netter to close the game 3-1 in favour of the Germans.
The win by Ingolstadt marks an extremely successful road trip in which they've bested two top Swiss teams back-to-back.
