Eisbären Berlin hung on to claim their second consecutive win with a 2-1 result over Herning Blue Fox. 

George Lago Bachmann Sørensen was the busier of the two netminders as Berlin pelted him with 11 shots in the first while Herning only managed to fire off five against Jonas Neffin. Both backstops were perfect, though, as the clubs headed toward their respective locker rooms with the score still level at 0-0.

Then the Germans tilted things in their favour in the second, lighting the lamp twice in quick succession.

Leonhard Pföderl drew first blood when he received a pass in the slot, dusted it off and fired it between two defenders as it beat Herning's netminder. Three minutes later, Eric Hördler capitalised on his scoring chance when he made a orchestrated a phenomenal individual effort on the backcheck. The 22-year-old pursued a loose puck, into the Danes' zone where he fought off two defenders before gaining control of it and scooping it into the back of the net.

Berlin continued to dictate the pace in the third as they piled on the shots and made Herning work for every inch of ice. 

But late in the period, the Danes made it interesting when they notched their first on a pretty passing play that started off with a feed down low before Phillip Louis Schultz delivered a slick behind-the-back feed to Hjalte Kruse Thomsen who deposited it into the back of a wide-open net on the powerplay.

Then with less than a minute to go, Herning nearly tied it up, but the Germans would challenge the call for goaltender interference, and upon review the goal was disallowed. Herning tried a last effort to tie, but Berlin's Neffin did his job to help his team secure three more all-important points.
