The Czech Extraliga champions orchestrated a full-point start to this year's Champions Hockey League with a 6-0 home win over GKS Tychy.

Dynamo Pardubice hosted Polish champions GKS Tychy on Game Day 1. Both teams were striving for their first points of the season, but it was the Czech side who controlled the game right from the puck drop and continued the pressure resulting in a 3-0 lead before the first period end, one by Stránský and two powerplay goals by Kondelík and Tourigny, both of them assisted by Tomáš Nosek.

As second-period action got underway, the home team were right back at it again. One minute in, after Tychy’s Szymon Kiełbicki was called for Interference, Kondelík, assisted by Stránský, netted his second of the evening to push Dynamo’s even lead further ahead.

The final frame followed a similar script, with Pardubice pushing the pace of the play. Sedlák scored his first goal of the season giving the home team their fifth goal of the night, knocking the Poles back even further.

From that point, Tychy still didn’t generate much offense. Stránský added yet another goal to the rising Pardubice tally to seal the victory securing their first three points of the competition. Pardubice handed relentless offensive pressure to Tychy, who struggled to put together anything offensively with everything moving so fast away from them.
